ART TECHNIQUE: Animation
In the class Digital Design and Animation, has motivated me to explore the art technique, Animation. Animation is used to entertain people and show how other people's imagination can go wild along with bringing happiness to others. Some animations are filmed in a "stop motion" animation. Stop motion animation is where the artist takes a photo or object and continuously moves it, recording the photo's movement in a stop go motion. I like the art technique, animation because of the way it makes you feel positive, and it can change someone's perspective as far as appearance and physical improvement. I love the connection the artist is able to make with the designs and perfecting and modifying images. As this program can sometimes become difficult, I have found some strengths in the software as well. Below is a reflection of the difficulties and strengths I have faced with using this software. Over the years, I have played many of the video games that have different background stories that have encouraged me to continue to play the game. After playing the PS4 game, “Fallout 4, ” I felt great and excited about continuing my journey of playing all the Fallout game series. I have played 2 of the 4 series game. Each time I play a new series, okay get more excited about the game and the new features added in the upgraded game. The back story regarding this game is based on war settings, rebuilding the community in establishing a positive environment. I originally played this game 2 years ago where I felt that game started out interesting and later on progressed to be a little boring needing additional emphases on the storyline and MPC. In playing the game, I discovered the game had additional characters, maps and new storylines which kept me engaged with the game. As the game advances, the game character's get stronger allowing them to advance through the game easier. The characters becomes untouchable due to it's strengths. Even though I love playing this game, I would recommend this game to anyone to start playing. I look forward to the new series of the Fallout game arriving to Game stop in the near future.

After playing the game, “Star Wars- BattleFront 2,” I felt great again. I originally played this game 2 years ago where I felt that game was a little boring and needed some added features to make the game better to play. After 2 years, game designers for “Star Wars- BattleFront 2,” updated the bugs and hiccups that the game had which allowed the game to be played better. In playing the game for the second time, I felt much better and more enthused about playing the game that I wanted to resume playing the game from the beginning. In playing the game the second time, I discovered the game had additional characters, maps and new storylines which kept me engaged with the game. As interesting as this game maybe, there are minor issues in the game that could discourage someone from continuing to play the game. I must say, after the updates on the game, “Star Wars- BattleFront 2,” I felt more positive about playing the game along with I would definitely recommend this game for anyone to play if you are a fan of Star Wars!
In completing Quarter 2 of the class, Digital Design and Animation, I was able to complete my assigned sketch of an up close of an eye. In completing this in class assignment, I was able to use many different artistic techniques. I was able to use a traditional pencil sketching out the shape of the eye in making sure I provided unique features to the veins of the eye. In continuing my sketch, I also used techniques such using a color pencils and shading in providing additional detailed features of the sketch. Lastly, I used an eraser to clean any incorrect markings in the sketch. In concluding this sketch, I think this sketch allowed me to reflect that eyes are used a lot in seeing and reading which could later result to restraining in the eye which would cause redness in the eyes.

Digital Design and Animation Quarter 2-Blog 3 Game Review for Call of Duty: WWII Over the years, I have played many of the video games that have different background stories that have encouraged me to continue to play the game. After playing the game, Call of Duty: WWII, I have seen many techniques used to illustrate players, classes, graphics and art textures in advancing myself through the game. As I progress through the Digital Design and Animation class, the class has helped me in discovering different technique features used in the game, Call of Duty: WWII. This game is focused on the genres War and Conflict of power between the Nazis and other countries. This game has displayed many features of the history’s biggest and deadliest war, WWII by using techniques that allow game players to complete advanced movements and futuristic warfare technology throughout the game. The game, Call of Duty: WWII has been around since 2017 and for some reason I have many reasons why I like playing this game. What I like the most about this game is that it has a good story plots, good graphics, and the different classes which allows to achieve different ranks. The best feature of the game is the different modes you can plan for the game. As there are great things about the game, there are also bad things about the game that may discourage the player from continuing the game. One negative thing is that the story plots are not long story which can sometimes cause confusion in the game. Another negative area in the game is that the missions can sometimes become too complicated where it is difficult to complete the mission. Overall, Call of Duty: WWII is a good game to play. I would recommend it for anybody under 15 and up who are interested in playing War genre games to play! Ricardo Parra
Digital Design and Animation Quarter 2-Blog 2 Design Basics for Beginners Using design basics can sometimes be difficult for beginning artists who are trying to join the game design industry. As a beginning artist, I was introduced to the basics of game design in understanding the different functions that can be used in the software. Design basics functions such as drawing, cutting, erasing, coloring and sizing are the key functions used to making one perfect art sample. There are some positives and negatives to using design basics functions. Some positives are coloring, drawing and editing which makes the artist more comfortable with the software. These positives have important roles in the software that would allow you to do amazing and useful art samples. As some functions can be positive, there are some negatives and challenges to using design basics. Negatives such as utilizing command keys and tools can sometimes become difficult in advancing art samples. Command keys are often used as "shortcuts" to finish art samples faster with no complications. Command keys are meant to be memorized in utilizing each command key function. But sometimes, the difficult part is memorizing the command key function. As I am finding positives and negatives of using design basics, I will continue to try my best in mastering the art of game design. Photoshop is a software that is used to edit and create photos digitally. As this is not my first time using this software, I have experienced levels of difficulties using the program and mastering it's technics. My reflection on DDA So my review on DDA is that there are many thing I learned about like how to use photo shop and other things. So many stuff that I learned was how make a photo filter and how to make things look more realistic in color. And learned a lit bit of the color wheel. There are so many things we learned about like Understand intellectual property guidelines and how to use layers in photoshop and to mask them.
